Asphalt Driveway Aftercare & Warranty Conditions

Thank you for choosing us for your asphalt driveway installation. To ensure the longevity and performance of your new surface, please take a moment to review the following care instructions and warranty terms.

General Aftercare Instructions

Curing Period

  • Avoid parking vehicles on the driveway for 7 days after installation.

  • Do not place heavy machinery, trailers, or skip bins on the surface for at least 28 days.

  • During hot weather, asphalt may remain soft longer—avoid tight turns or sudden braking during this time.

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Sweep debris and leaves regularly to prevent staining and degradation.

  • Clean oil, fuel, or chemical spills immediately using a mild detergent and water.

  • Avoid using high-pressure water cleaners, harsh chemicals, or degreasers.

  • We recommend professional resealing every 2–3 years to extend lifespan.


What to Avoid

To prevent unnecessary damage:

Do not use car jacks or sharp objects (e.g. bike kickstands) directly on the surface.

Avoid turning steering wheels while the vehicle is stationary (especially during the curing period).

Never use open flames or excessive heat sources (e.g. gas burners) near the surface.

Do not allow tree roots, water leaks, or ground movement to go unaddressed—these can cause subsidence.


Warranty Coverage

We offer a 12-month limited warranty from the date of practical completion. This warranty covers:

  • Premature cracking due to installation defects

  • Delamination or structural separation


Warranty Exclusions

Please note that the following will void the warranty:

  • Physical damage caused by vehicles exceeding weight limits

  • Chemical or oil damage due to spills left untreated

  • Damage from pressure washing, tools, or equipment misuse

  • Ground movement, subsidence, or tree root intrusion

  • Extreme weather events, floods, fires, storms, heatwaves

  • Failure to follow the aftercare guidelines above
